Short Courses in France

Short programmes in France cover language training, business intensives, and exam preparation courses. University summer schools in French — Sorbonne, the University of Franche-Comté in Besançon, the Catholic Institute of Toulouse — offer intensives from two to four weeks. The Cours de Civilisation Française de la Sorbonne offers semester-long and summer intensive courses for €3,400, while the University of Franche-Comté in Besançon offers 88 hours of classes for €1,164 in July. Classes are held in the morning, levels range from A1 to C1, and the cultural programme includes excursions and events.

Business schools offer two-week programmes: Paris School of Business runs a summer school on arts management, luxury business, and artificial intelligence from 22 June to 3 July 2026 — 50 hours of lectures, workshops, and company visits. EM Lyon offers a module on ethics and sustainable business worth 3 ECTS credits.

For those who need to pass DELF or DALF for university admission, Sorbonne Nouvelle University organises 20-hour preparation courses for B2 and C1 exams — classes are held on Saturdays over the month before the exam. The course costs €270 if you pay individually, and the exams themselves are held in February and May. Most short programmes do not require lengthy visa preparation: for courses up to 90 days, a Schengen visa is sufficient.
