Summer schools in Italian language and culture are the largest segment of short programmes. The University of Genoa runs a three-week course from 29 June to 17 July 2026 in Santa Margherita Ligure: 60 hours of classes, study materials, lunches, and a cultural programme are included in the €540 fee. Tor Vergata in Rome offers a two-week programme from 13 to 25 July: 30 hours of Italian, six cultural visits, and two Saturday excursions — €800 for external students. The University of Bologna organises a summer school in classical languages: one course (Ancient Greek or Latin) costs €900, a combined course — €1,450. |
Business schools offer week-long intensives with ECTS credits. Luiss Business School in Rome runs a summer school from 13 July 2026 in several specialisations — from artificial intelligence in business to luxury management; on completion, 4 ECTS credits are awarded. Cattolica University offers two-week courses in strategic management and social entrepreneurship with 6 ECTS credits. Bocconi University runs a summer school from 29 June to 17 July 2026. For most short programmes, a Schengen visa is sufficient if the stay does not exceed 90 days.
